We’re playing the Main Stage at the Sziget Festival in Hungary this August! We’re on at 4.30pm!

Sziget is a 6 day event (7–12 Aug). This will be the festival’s 20th year. It’s the biggest and longest running festival in East Europe and regularly voted in the top 10 best festivals in Europe. It’s a great site, on an island in the middle of the Danube river in Budapest!

Hi everyone! We are pleased to announce that the person who will be opening for us on the Liverpool leg of or tour will be “Ryan Jarvis”. Thanks to everyone else who sent in or recommended someone to us. This decision was very hard to make with the amount of great artists out there in the Liverpool area. Sorry we couldn’t have you all performing with us, but Ryan had a certain charm to him in the way he sounds and we look forward to seeing him and hearing him play live in Liverpool very, very soon.

We’ve chosen our London Opening Act…”Es muss sein”

… also known as Poppy Wilson. The band all chose her although the guy doing the cover of ‘Please Please Please’ by James Brown was close…(I’ll post it up another time). I loved her voice and the song on her Facebook page “Sail” is beautiful…reminds me of Lykke Li.

I’m very excited to see her live.

About The Big Stooshie

The Big Stooshie is Scotland’s Charity Music Festival. This exciting three-day event will be the first date in the countrys festival calendar, taking place from 4-6th May 2012.

With both stages undercover, this festival offers a unique experience that will not be affected by the Scottish weather. Not only do we aim to bring the best live music to your ears, but we also plan to create the best festival atmosphere around. We offer camping and non-camping packages across the weekend, and have a variety of genres performing across the Arena Stage & Kingdom FM Stage. We have something for everyone… Entertainment, a wide range of food stalls, a chill-out zone and even a fun-fair, provided and co-ordinated by Howe Country Centre.

With an expected crowd of 12,000, the festival would raise upwards of £100,000 for SSAFA and Help For Heroes (Profits from ticket sales will be donated equally to these charities after costs).

Notable acts announced alongside Glasvegas so far include James, Simon & Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene (acoustic), The Damned, The Hoosiers and The Boomtown Rats.

Solo Act Wanted - To Open for GLASVEGAS

Hi Folks!

We are looking for an opening support act for our tour dates in April ‘12 - London (SOLD OUT) - Liverpool & Glasgow (SOLD OUT). We would like to invite you guys to help us find the perfect one! We’re looking for a solo performer and the genre is wide open!! It could be anything from a violinist to an acapella performance to you just singing and playing your guitar, or whatever your thing is!!

It’ll be a 20 minute slot and can be either original material or covers.

Its open to all ages [but under 15s HAVE to be accompanied by an adult] and we can offer a basic rider and some guest passes.

If you’re interested, or if you know someone else that would be good for the job, send us an email with a short videoclip to busker@glasvegas.net

No bands…only solo performers please.

So…last night was our first rehearsal after James writing a bunch of new songs. Learned up a couple and I must say I think they are pretty special. I think they are swaying more towards how the first album sounded with James playing guitar again but might be too early to judge.

Anyways, me and James found this photo from Santa Monica yesterday. I think it was a couple of days after my birthday and I was still recovering on the couch. The balloons sum it all up.
